Welcome to Belaguru, one of the brightest stars in the Spiritual horizon, in Hosadurga Taluk, Chitradurga District, in the State of Karnataka, in South India.

The town Belaguru, whose name aptly translates to ‘the abode of Light’, because of a hallowed intervention, has been quietly attracting hordes of seekers for redemption (spiritual & material), the world over.

The unique feature of this beacon of salvation, is that Divinity is immersed in the sage Guidance, manifested as the embodiment of Shree Veeraprathapa Anjaneya Swami, the epitome of Devotion, Humility and Selfless Service, in the form of His Holiness, Avadhootha Sadhguru Shree Shree Bindumadhava Sharma Mahaswamiji, who was born on  Vaishakha Shukla Dashami, 30th April, 1947. His Holiness was the luminary of Vedanthic Sathvik life, practising the tenets to illustrate the simple yet profound concept to the world.

Shree  Anjaneya Swami Mandira was established about a millennium ago, by Vyasaraya. Avadhootha Sadhguru belonged to the same Priest Order (Archakas) that conducted the daily puja and rituals at the temple. The tradition continues.

Since 1966, from a young age of 19, Avadhootha Sadhguru Shree Shree Bindumadhava Sharma Mahaswamiji, has been dispensing divine guidance & leading mortal life from darkness to light. His torch bore the essence of Advaitha Siddhantha, it’s simple understanding and practice every day.

The fact that Avadhootha Sadhguru attained immersion in Lord Anjaneya Swami, due to His profound devotion, bhakthi and service to the Lord, is testimony to the practice of Paramartha Sadhana. It is with the same experience that His Holiness went about cleansing the disturbed souls.  He was also a great devotee of Lord Dattatreya, who represents the Supreme Guru Principle.

As per Shruthi Vaakya (Veda) ’सर्वं खल्विदं ब्रह्म’ ‘Sarvam Khalvidam Brahma’, meaning that all life is the progeny of the Eternal One, thus indicating a strong bond of brotherhood and oneness, His Holiness would always begin His sermon with this simple, yet profound truth. He professed that serving all life was the greatest service to The Lord, as He resided in every living being.

Avadhootha Sadhguru, over the years has strived for the welfare of the people. To enable devotees coming from far & wide, He established the Shree Rama Manasa Mandira (1998), the Annapoorneshwari Bhojanashala (2010), for a 24×7 Annadana Seva & the more recent Bharathi Theertha Sabha Bhavana (2017), for staying at the Kshetra. His mission to propagate the goodness of Sanathana Dharma, has resulted in laying the foundation for daily pujas of all deities of Shree Kshetra, daily Rama Bhajana performance, Monthly Uthsava of Shree Anjaneya and homas on the Full Moon Day. Annual programmes, such as the Shravanamasa festivities and Hanumajjayanthi celebrations in the month of Margashira (December), and other social welfare activities, such as vastradana, jaladana to the Belaguru township, vidyadhana (free distribution of school books, study materials, food for students), arogyadana (annual welfare care camps and others. Nishkama Seva – selfless devotion and service to the Lord was His Holiness’ simple Tenet to awaken the Lord within.

On the spiritual upliftment front, He had mentored, organised and performed Yagas of grand proportions such as Shree Mahalakshmi Yaga, Koti Rudra Yaga and Sahasra Chandika Yaga, appeasing the divinity for the welfare of mankind and to shower Grace on His troubled flock.

On Vikari Samvathsara’s Vaishakha Krishna Ekadashi 30th April, 2019, He established Shree Maruthi Peetham, anointed Shree Vijaya Maruthi Sharma, as the Uttaradhikari / First Peethadhipathi, to continue serving the Lord, as per the guidelines set.

On Sharvari Samvathsara’s Karthika Shukla Trayodashi 27th November,  2020, He renounced His Mortal Self, immersing Himself into the Lord…

The beacon is glowing brighter, ameliorating the teeming beleaguered humanity, today, under the benevolent grace of Shree  Anjaneya , the presiding deity of Belaguru, through the Peetadhipathi.
